Whilst carrying out the research for the story of Adelaide Springett, see the link below,
I discovered that Adelaide had lived at 12, Millers Court which I soon found out, held a grisly secret. Next door at number 13, Millers Court, Jack the Ripper murdered his fifth and last victim, Mary Jane Kelly. It was whilst I was researching Dorsett Street and Millers Court that I found this remarkable detailed scale model of the entire area of Dorset Street and Millers Court, all constructed from Lego! Those of you that know me well, will know about my other passion and hobby which of course is Lego. What better way is there of combining two passions together than when Lego meets History.
The Lego model was built by Mark Hodgson and he has kindly allowed me to publish a series of pictures showing the intricate details of the layout of the buildings and houses.

(Millers Court as well as 26 Dorset Street and part of number 27)

(The front of numbers 27 & 26 Dorset Street. The alleyway leads towards Millers Court at the back)

(26 and 27 Dorset Street exterior view showing the interior of 27)

(Looking inside 27 Dorset Street, Millers Court is on the left)

(Model of Millers Court. Number 13 would be entered by the door next to the alley on the right of the picture. The alley would lead towards Dorset Street on the right)

I am sure that you will agree a truly remarkable model created in Lego that really does capture the area extremely well. Thanks once again to Mark for allowing me to share his efforts with you and also thanks for providing me with some inspiration for some future projects of my own, watch this space!

Creepy in some ways, but I admire their diligence in recreating the area in such detail!

You can see why crime flourished in the courts. Those alleys must have been very scary at night.

I’m a massive Lego fan and build lots of models myself but only from purpose designed kits. To build something like this from scratch is amazing
